Illinois Man Stabs Himself to Avoid Going to Jail, How’d That Work Out?

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force was hot on his trail of Thomas Chapman. If they are after you, you should probably give up? Turn yourself in? Wave a white flag? Stab yourself, wait...no. This man from Lake County, Illinois was wanted by the police...so he stabbed himself.

He was wanted on escape and domestic battery charges, so "stabbing" himself seemed like a way out?

Officer's entered Mr. Chapman's home and found him unresponsive. He way laying in his bed, with a self inflicted stab wound to the chest. To try and stab yourself, with the intention of killing yourself...is that even possible?

Thomas Chapman was transported to a local hospital, and the released to local law enforcement who took the stabbed man to the Lake County Jail. I think it's hard to pull a band-aid off without looking and sounding like a wimp, how did he pull that off?

Thankfully the law enforcement got to him in time, to take him to the hospital and into custody. Do they give him sporks with his dinner or what?
