This is one of my favorite times of year. The weather is getting much better and warmer, which I'm a big fan of. Outdoor activities will be in full swing. I hate being inside during the summer. Plus, there are lots of great outside events too.

As a kid, I remember my parents taking me to festivals all summer long. They're so much fun. You can't go wrong with tasty food, refreshing drinks, live music, and of course, the carnival. I could spend hours there.
I know we have some great summer festivals in Illinois, so I did some research. I was looking for good ones near Rockford. Check out this list. I bet you'll find a couple you'll want to hit this year.
