Illinois Drivers Were Really Confused By a Dismantled Car On The Road

You never know what you're going to spot on the side of an Illinois road.

Maybe this...

... or a mattress with a message on it.

It's definitely not a surprise to spot a pot hole or seven anywhere on the road.

Spotting things on the side of the road can surely be a surprise if you're passing by a few moments after they appeared. Sometimes it's like finding a four-leaf clover. This is one of those moments.

Where and When?

Friday afternoon on March 18, 2022, a Rockford driver spot something bizarre near the Rock River.

If this driver was confused by what was on the side of the road then that means others were probably scratching their heads in wonder too.

"That car wasn't originally a convertible."

It was raining that afternoon and even the car were a convertible you can bet the top wouldn't be down.

The unmarked police car is clearly visible in the above photo and so it's the car on the left's roof on the side of the road.

How about a few closer looks?

The photos above and below indicate there was some sort of accident prior to the original picture being taken. Maybe it's worth a closer look at the car without its roof?

I wasn't able to find exact clarification on what happened here but let's assume first responders removed the car's roof. If this is indeed the case look at the perfect cut. The windshield is still intact and appears to be in perfect shape.
