The discount Swedish-based home store may be coming to Wisconsin sooner than you think.

I'm not going to lie, I have a weird obsession with Ikea.

I've taken many people to their first shopping experience at Ikea and I've made believers out of many. Whether you need a stylish new area rug, curtains, wrapping paper or couch, Ikea has it all and at a fraction of the price.

The two closest Ikea locations to Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin are Schaumburg and Bolingbrook, each at least 80 miles or more away.

If you have a craving for Swedish meatballs, $1 ice cream cones and flat packed furniture, you may soon be able to shop at Wisconsin's first Ikea location.

WISN is reporting that Ikea may be opening up shop in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The location in mind is located near West Drexel Avenue and Interstate 94.

The Mayor of Oak Creek, Steve Scaffidi hasn't said much, but an announcement could come by the end of this week.
