It happened.

Gator watch 2019 is officially over.

Your gator merch is now just a memory of what was a fun Summer memory for Chicago and really all of Illinois.

Chicago officials and wildlife experts caught the alligator in the overnight hours, police said early Tuesday, one full week after it was first spotted swimming in the lagoon.

There will be a press conference about the capture sometime Tuesday morning or afternoon.
