Nice weather, lots of bikes. So key to keep your eyes peeled, but equally important to be aware when on a bike.

The sights and sounds of so many motorcycles on the road is great. The amount of bikes you see on the road in the Rockford area during the summer is incredible.

I have a 16 year old about to get his license, awareness of your surroundings is the #1 thing I try to teach. Eyes open, look everywhere and know what's going on.

Motorcycle safety is something we talk a lot about on 96.7 The Eagle during the summer months. There are a ton of listeners that ride, and we want you around as long as possible.

When you get on your bike this summer, here are some tips to help you the rider become more noticed to those of us in cars.

According to Motorcycle here are 10 Ways to Get Noticed on a Motorcycle

  • High Beams - A bright light is great
  • Install an Aftermarket Horn - Annoying for riders but I get it
  • Lane Positioning - Knowing where you are is a good thing
  • Group Riding - The more riders the more visible
  • Hi-Viz gear/Motorcycle color - Bright colors
  • Camouflage of Your Favorite Armed Force - Standing out with your gear
  • Reflective Gear - Speaks for itself
  • Headlight modulator/Brake light modulator - Any sort of attention grabber with lights
  • Loud Helmets Save Lives - Again, standing out anyway possible
  • Ride Naked - Well, ok...

Cash Cow....moo.
