A Rockford grocery store now offers hands-free carts for cellphone use during shopping.

I made my weekly trip to the grocery store yesterday. Lately, I've been switching it up. Each time rotating to a different location. This week, I hit Woodman's.

When it comes to carts, I would rank theirs pretty high. It had been a couple of weeks since I had been there, so this visit I noticed a new feature. There's now a holder for your cellphone for hands-free carting.

Here I was struggling with my handwritten note when instead I could embrace technology. From now on, I will have the grocery list on my phone. Shopping will be so much easier.

Also, I witnessed several other customers trying to hold their phone, text, and push the cart all at the same time. That just doesn't work. Imagine the ease with hands-free carting.

If you haven't checked it out yet, I suggest trying it on your next trip to the grocery store.
