Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” comes under plagiarism charge

So is Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine" REALLY a Guns N' Roses' song??

According to consequenceofsound.net the originality of the classic rocker is in question.

There is a band from Australia called Australian Crawl that has a similar sounding jam called "Unpublished Critics". The Australian Crawl song was released six years before "Sweet Child O' Mine".

I suppose you can hear melody and random guitar parts that make you think, but I'm not sold on this one. If a band member from Australian Crawl is ok with the two songs co-existing and doesn't want to try and cash in, that tells you something. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.
