Here's a chance to help out an organization for Veterans in Rockford.

With Veteran's Day coming up November 11th, it's a good time to think about doing something special to help the Veterans in our community.

Do you have a guitar sitting around your house that hasn't been touched in years? You've probably thought about getting rid of it several times. Well, there is now something special you can do with it.

There is an organization called "Guitars For Vets." They collect guitars, related gear, and provide lessons for Veterans.

Why are they doing it?

"Thousands of our war Veterans are afflicted with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The healing power of music helps soldiers cope."

How is the program working?

"To date, G4V has administered over 25,000 guitar lessons and distributed over 2,500 guitars to Veterans."

What can you do to help?

"Kegel's Bicycle Store, 2605 Charles Street in Rockford, is an official drop off sight in town for Guitars For Vets. Please make a donation of a guitar or money to help the program."

This a great program for our Veterans. Please help them out if you can.
