Imagine walking to your favorite restaurant for a Friday night fish fry and you see a world-famous band enjoying dinner too.

Every state has its own signature foods. For example, Illinois is known for stuffed pizza, Italian beef sandwiches, and Chicago-style hot dogs. Our neighbors to the north in Wisconsin have their own specialties including cheese curds, bratwurst, and beer, there's a meal in every glass.

The number one meal in Wisconsin is the fish fry. It's the staple of Friday dinner throughout the state. Pretty much every little town has a local tavern that serves its own version. I've never heard of a bad experience. It's the regular go-to end-of-the-week meal out for most residents.

It just makes sense when someone visits Wisconsin from out of state, they're going to want to check out one of those popular Friday night fish fries. That goes for celebrities too. In fact, there was a famous person sighting in Milwaukee recently.

Last weekend, Green Day, one of the biggest rock bands in the world, was in town to headline a concert at American Family Field. They had the day off in between shows, so they decided to come to Milwaukee early to hang out. It was a Friday, so what did they want for dinner? Of course, the boys hit up a fish fry.

Billy Joe Armstrong and Tre Cool enjoyed their Friday night fish fry at the Lakefront Brewery. The band enjoyed their meal and no one bothered them, even though they arrived right around 5 pm.

Armstrong even took the time to get his picture with the Bronze Fonz statue in downtown Milwaukee. I love stories like this one. It's so cool when celebrities act like regular folk and enjoy life while on tour.
