Gov. Rauner Says YES to Medical Marijuana But is Still a no For Recreational
A large number of people in Illinois have asked for a medical marijuana card and Gov. Rauner says that's cool with him.
Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner says yes to medical marijuana but it's a no for recreational.
According to WQAD the governor stands by a new law that allows Illinois patients to change from an opioid prescription to one for medical marijuana.
But when it comes to legal pot for recreational use, Gov. Rauner says this:
"What I’ve done is visit governors of other states [where marijuana is legal] and medical professionals, and what most of them have recommended is that we in Illinois should wait and watch, because they’re learning a lot of painful lessons. And it is not all been good."
