Marijuana selling apps will not be allowed by Google.

It's a historic time in Illinois politics. Recreational cannabis will be legal in the Land of Lincoln starting in 2020. That doesn't mean everyone is on the pot bandwagon.

Recently, Google has made a big decision about weed.

According to theverge.com,

"Google has added a rule banning apps that “facilitate” the sale of marijuana, whether they’re operating legally or not, but the company says it’s not trying to drive pot-related services off the Google Play Store."

Before you start a boycott, they're working with app developers to be "legal" on the platform.

Basically, what the internet company is saying, the businesses need to move their shopping cart option off the actual app. A think a link back to their website would be fine.

Stay tuned. I'm sure this isn't the last we hear about this issue.
