We've all had to find "new" ways to do life, but my heart goes out to all the Stateline businesses that are constantly having to reinvent how do they business and find new ways to make money to stay afloat.

The entertainment business has also been hit HARD by these extended closures, but I think The West Side Showroom in Rockford just knocked inventive thinking out of the park with their new "Elf-O-Matic" Vending Machine fundraiser!

I've got you intrigued, right? Here is how the "Elf-O-Matic" Vending Machine works according to The West Side Showroom's website;

The West Side Show Room presents The Elf-O-Matic Vending Machine— a COVID-19 safe fundraiser with a short live performance! Come see Santa Claus and get gifts from Nutlog the Singing Elf inside our Christmas Vending Machine!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Pick your Quarantine Pod: up to 8 people

2. Buy gifts from our Online Christmas Store ($35 minimum)

3. Choose a time to pick up your gifts

4. We will email you a receipt and confirm your date and time

5. Come to WSSR at that time

6. See Safety Santa

7. Get your gifts from the Elf-O-Matic!

All the gifts available in The West Side Showroom's online gift shop are from local businesses, so not only do you get some great stuff, you are helping our local economy at the same time!

The "Elf-O-Matic" Vending Machine will run through this weekend and then again on December 17-20.
