“Dragons on the Rock” in Janesville, Sept 18th. What is This?
All equipment provided and no experience required...you had me at "hello."
With event rockin' and rollin' this summer and fall, here's one that I'm totally looking forward to. "Dragons of the Rock" in Janesville. This is a boat race unlike any other in our area. All boats are dragons and it takes place in Janesville at Traxler Park. You get friends and family together that you think can do some worthy rowing, and a drummer. A drummer? Each boat will be 12-20 rowers and a drummer at the front of the boat, beating the drum as you paddle away.
This is an entire festival "Dragons on the Rock" Saturday, September 18th at Taxler Park in Janesville. the event runs from 9am-6pm. Spectators are welcomed and there will be live music and food trucks. You can sample foods from local "street chefs" and vote for your favorite! Here is the link to register online KANDU
Admission is free and parking is $5 to benefit the Rock Aqua Jays. The proceeds from "Dragons on The Rock" benefit Kandu. What is Kandu?
KANDU creates, promotes and provides diverse opportunities offering people with disabilities or disadvantages the ability to pursue greater independence and explore their limitless potential. KANDU will be the beacon that fosters acceptance and inclusion of all individuals by providing fulfilling and enriching opportunities.
