DONUT ALERT! Illinois’ Edwards Orchard Announces 2021 Season Opener

Sometimes you over hear a date for something you tell yourself to remember for late, other dates get put on the calendar immediately. This is on of those dates.

There a very few things like a Fall day spent picking your own apples in an Illinois orchard. We're blessed to have many in northern Illinois. One of the most popular orchard destinations in the state is Edwards Apple Orchard. Edwards operates two locations in the area, 7061 Centerville Rd, Poplar Grove and Edwards West on Cemetery Road in Winnebago.

Is there a more important opening day anywhere in the 815? The day to mark on your calendar is Friday, August 27th. Edwards Apple Orchard West will begin a new season of fun and treats for our entire families.

The apple orchard and farm market are a perfect escape in the beautiful rolling fields of northwestern Winnebago County.

WHAT AWAITS YOU AT EDWARDS WEST

Outside, you can pick your own apples, pumpkins and raspberries. Huge play area, a wagon slide and an animal petting farm.

Inside, the 100-year-old dairy barn is your source for apples, fresh-squeezed apple cider and warm apple cider donuts. In the hayloft area you'll even find several farm antiques.

There's just nothing quite a visit to Edwards Apple Orchard West

The orchard is located at 8218 Cemetery Road in Winnebago, Illinois. This location offers all the same things you'd find at Edwards Poplar Grove orchard location but what you'll be treated to is fewer crowds.

Opening day for Edwards' Poplar Grove location will be the same day, August 27.
