A lost dog was reunited with it's Nebraska family in Rockford.

If you have ever lost a pet, you know how incredibly heartbreaking it can be.

I had a friend of mine lose her dog and it was took a toll on all of us here in the building.

It was completely innocent, little Otis went out to go tinkle, but didn't come back. He didn't have his collar on because it was just another ordinary day and this was his first outing of the day.

He didn't come back.

Otis is a special dog to all of us at the radio station, as he was adopted by one of our own and spent most of his time running the hallways of our radio station studios.

Thankfully, Otis was found and was reunited with his owner, but those almost 48 hours were a complete nightmare for all of us.

Raven, an 8-month-old Siberian Husky went missing from her home in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Where was she found? Right here in Rockford!

She traveled 476 miles in 6 days according to the Winnebago County Animal Services Facebook Page.

What Raven did on her journey remains a mystery, but thankfully because she has a microchip, she was able to reunite with her family.

Her family made the trip to Illinois to pick up their beloved pup.
