This may seem like a super random question, but when was the last time you rode a toboggan? Honestly, I don't ever think I have unless I did when I was so young that I can't remember it. Either way, I think it's well past time I hope on board a toboggan.

Did You Know Iverson Park in Stevens Point, WI Has a 300 Foot Toboggan Run?

While sitting on my couch this afternoon perusing the internet I came across an article about Iverson Park on onlyinyourstate.com. What caught my eye first about this park is that it is located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, so it is not too far from our family cabin and appears to be full of fun things my kids would love to do. The second thing that piqued my interest when I decided to do more research was this post from City of Stevens Point Government on Facebook;

How fun does that look?!?

Since many winter trips to the cabin are in my family's future, I needed to know more about the Iverson Park Winter Sports Area. Besides having a 300-foot toboggan run, the park has three different sledding hills, a snowboarding hill, a cross-country ski trail, a snowshoeing trail, AND an outdoor skating rink.

Iverson Park is open daily from sunrise to 11 p.m. and does have a warming lodge that is open Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 12 to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m., but all this winter fun is obviously very dependant on weather conditions so plan accordingly.

Iverson Park's website says;

The Winter Sports Area will close when the air temperature/wind chill is -15 degrees or colder, or is forecast to be that cold. If the Area is open and the air temperature/wind chill drops to -15 degrees or colder, the Area will close 30 minutes after this temperature is reached.
