Colder Rockford Temps Equals Frozen Windshield, Here’s a DIY to Thaw FAST!
When I walked out to my car at 6:15 this morning, my windshield had a nice sheet of ice on it. Car started, and I started scraping the ice off in single digit temps, that sucks. What if there was a way to get rid of that ice, without freezing your butt off for five minutes with a plastic scraper in your hand? Guess what, there is...Pay attention kids.
From TODAY comes a "Do it Yourself" using some household items, and spending a whole buck at the Dollar Store. This will remove the ice quickly and you can hit the road to start your day.
First you need water, get this from your sink...Pour if from your Dasani bottle, any brand will work.
Send, go under your bathroom sink and grab the rubbing alcohol. Don't have any, it will cost you two buck.
Buy a spray bottle (if you don't already have one) that will set you back one whole dollar.
Fill the spray bottle, 1/3 water and 2/3 rubbing alcohol.
Spray mixture onto windshield, back window, side windows, etc.
The ice will vanish in seconds. Why is that?
“The reason why this works is rubbing alcohol has a freezing point of 138 degrees below freezing so you can always keep this mixture in your car and it will never freeze.” - Ken Weathers
