Chicago White Sox to Play 1st Game With Extended Netting

Tonight, the Chicago White Sox will play the first game with extended safety netting from foul pole to foul pole.

The White Sox were one of the first teams to announce that they would be extending their netting, after several serious foul ball injuries recently.

The extended netting debuts tonight at Guaranteed Rate Field as the Sox take on the Miami Marlins at 7:10 p.m.. The netting was installed during the All-Star break, not only in Chicago, but also to the Washington National's ballpark.
