This week is International Clown Week, so let's show them some love in Rockford.

Last Halloween, things got a little crazy in the "Clown World." The "Creepy Clown" was striking fear in people all over Rockford. People were becoming deathly scared of clowns. It was not a good trend.

It's time to move on from that and bring back the love for clowns in Rockford.

I really enjoyed clowns as a kid. One of my favorite shows was the Bozo Show. I even went on the show a few times and met Bozo and Cookie the Clown.

I liked going to the circus. My parents would take me to Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus every year. They are great childhood memories.

Since it's not Halloween time, we can avoid the scary clowns. That is a good thing.

This week is International Clown Week and this Saturday is National Clown Day, so do something clown related in a good way.

Let's help make clowns good again. No more fear.

Luckily, we have a couple of great places not too far away to celebrate clowns. They are both located in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Remember clowns are here to make us laugh, not scream.
