If anything good has come out of this COVID-19 quarantine, it has to be the focus people have on shopping locally. I love seeing the curbside-pickup lines outside Rockford-area restaurants, and for once I don't even mind waiting to get my delicious food. People care, and people are doing their best to keep local businesses afloat, but we need to make sure we continue to do the same when the world opens back up.

I think it's safe to say that it's going to take a long time for small businesses to bounce back from this quarantine, and community leaders are working hard to come up ways to help them, but at the end of the day, their success ultimately relies on us.

The City of Rockford has many resources available for those that need help during the COVID-19 pandemic which you can view, here, but I'm loving the new Bingo game that the Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce has created to add some fun to shopping local.

If you want a shot at winning one of the ten $100 gift cards the Belvidere Chamber will be giving away, make sure you send screenshots of your completed game card and share pictures using #BooneCoStrong. You can download a printable game card here, but keep in mind, you only have until the end of May to finish all the squares on the card.

Good luck, and have fun getting your shop on!

P.S. Can we create a game like this for Rockford, Mayor McNamara and GoRockford? Pretty, please? :)
