The shutdown, due to lack of orders, is expected to last for about two weeks.

According to a spokesperson with Fiat Chrysler, the owner of the Belvidere assembly plant, the plant will shut down the next two weeks to align production with demand.

The spokeswoman says the plant will be closed the weeks of Jan. 13 and Jan. 20.

Normal production will begin again on Jan. 27.

The plant temporarily shutdown back in late August /early September for a lack of orders.
