If you're a fan of beer there's a festival coming back to Wisconsin in a very unusual location.

Beer Festival At Wisconsin Ski Resort

When I was in high school and college I enjoyed going skiing. I was just an average skier but it was still fun. I never went anywhere cool like Colorado to do it. All my experience was in Wisconsin but I was fine with that because it was a good time.

One of my favorite places to go was the Alpine Valley Ski Resort in East Troy, Wisconsin. Yes, the same place I would go to see concerts in the summer. For a bunch of kids from the suburbs it was always a fun road trip.

Of course, we were going for the skiing but I noticed that the lodge was a fun place to hang out too. They hosted a bunch of cool events and activities so when we needed a break from the hills, there was something fun to do.

Wisconsin is more known for its beer and festivals than ski resorts but what if you combine them all together? Now, that's what I call a good time. Well. that exact event is happening up at Alpine Valley Ski Resort.

They are hosting their 7th annual Beerfest. It's on Saturday, December 7th from 2pm to 7pm. The festival will feature several kinds of beers from many different breweries. The cost is $45 in advance and $55 at the door. That fee includes the beer tasting, hors-d'oeuvres, raffle ticket, and live music. Must be 21 and older.

It's a charity event that benefits the East Troy Family and Community Resource Center including the Holiday Help of East Troy Program. Who knows, there may be snow that day so you can hit the slopes too.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
