For some reason, I was thinking back to the movie, "Home Alone," a couple of days ago. Remember the bad guys in that story called themselves the Wet Bandits. They would leave the faucet running after robbing a house.  That's what they wanted to be known as.

You just don't get a nickname like the Bare-Chested Bandit you have to earn it. I believe this suspect put in the work to acquire that title. So here's what happened. There was a string of bank robberies in downtown Chicago. It's the same thief each time but he's wearing a different disguise.

Apparently, once he finished the job the suspect jumped on a "L" train. When it begins moving, he changes out of the disguise and into some normal clothes so he can blend in with other passengers.

The authorities finally caught a break in the case. There is security footage of him changing his clothes on public transportation. There is a long segment of him just standing there with no shirt. Hence, they started calling him the Bar-Chested Bandit. That's pretty funny.
