It's bad enough to get arrested for a DUI but on a lawn tractor is just downright embarrassing.

In this day and age, there is no excuse to get a DUI.

We all know it's very dangerous. Everyone understands it's against the law and very costly.

There are so many different ways to get rides home, especially with Uber. Plus, you can get ahold of people much easier with cell phones.

Getting a DUI is not restricted to just cars. One can also get arrested while under the influence in a truck, motorcycle, horse, golf cart, bicycle, scooter, moped, walking, and even on a lawn tractor.

That's right, you can get a DUI driving a lawn tractor.

According to the dailyherald.com,

"Ruben L. Garza faces charges of driving under the influence from an incident Friday in which he was operating a John Deere lawn tractor on the street, Aurora police said."

Sounds like Mr. Garza had quite the adventure.

Nearly struck a parked car.
No insurance.
No registration.
Falling asleep.
Urinated in a yard.
Yelling at people.
Smelled of alcohol.
Slurred speech.
Belligerent.
Threatening.
Swearing.
Didn't believe he could get arrested.
Had to be brought under control.
Arrested.
Lawn tractor impounded.

"It appears to be his first DUI, but he does have a previous record of felony aggravated battery to an Aurora police officer and resisting arrest."

Let's use this incident as a life lesson for the kids. Don't ever drink and drive. It doesn't matter what mode of transportation. Just call yourself an Uber.
