Dang, news like this really makes me sad. After nearly 24 years of serving up pizzas and pasta in Winnebago, Anna's Pizza has decided to close its doors.

To see a community favorite close is always sad, but when you consider all the "good" Anna's Pizza has done for the people and small businesses in the Winnebago area, the loss is felt even greater.

I don't live in Winnebago, but I know Anna's Pizza is a champion for their community and for causes in need. They are involved, they care tremendously, and I know they will be missed.

That being said, I totally respect and understand the reasons behind making the difficult decision to close. Family should always come first. Here's the announcement Anna's Pizza shared yesterday on Facebook...

So yeah, we're all bummed, but we need to make a point to swing in Anna's Pizza soon to wish them luck and thank them for 24 great years of food, memories and community devotion. Enjoy your time off, Brian and Stacy!
