An O.D. in Wisconsin Earlier This Year, Leads to 4 Million Worth of Cocaine

Kenosha Sheriff's Department responded to a call of a possible narcotics overdose, and got there in the nick of time saving a person's life. Deputies administered narcan which helped save this person's life. What happened afterwards, was the local authorities tracking down the drugs that were used. Let's see if we can find out where these deadly drugs came from, so we can prevent more overdoses from happening.
After doing months worth of investigating, detectives uncovered a large drug trafficking organization in Pleasant Prairie, Wi. With cooperation with the DEA and FBI there was a several state drug operation, that was busted and shut down. This massive drug ring included:
- 48 Kilograms (106 lbs.) of cocaine that tested positive for fentanyl
- $50,000+ of recovered property stolen from the area
- $120,000 of personal assets that were determined to be used in the distribution of the narcotics
Back in 2021 Kenosha County Sheriff's Department reported 40 different fatal overdoses with the primary reason, fentanyl-laced narcotics.
Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin was the central location for this large drug trafficking ring. It went throughout the United States and even Mexico, with Pleasant Prairie the central hub. Which goes to show you that never really know where this is going on!
