America’s Worst Airport Is In Illinois And No, It’s Not O’Hare
One of the busiest airports in the world, Chicago O'Hare International Airport, isn't the worst, believe it or not.
However, another airport in Illinois was just deemed the worst according to a new study of the Best and Worst Airports of 2019.
Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) only has one lounge — a USO center — and a relatively bare-bones smattering of restaurants and other services despite a $75 million renovation. It’s also a place you shouldn’t expect a flight to go out on time — only Boston Logan (BOS) and the New York City hubs do worse — and is not all that convenient to downtown Chicago for an airport that’s actually within the city.
Congrats Midway, you're the worst. O'Hare ranked 30th out of the 50 busiest airports in the US.
Midway was always the alternative to a less crowded O'Hare. If you wanted an easier trip that was without the bells and whistles, you'd take Midway.
If Midway was a brand, it would be the Great Value of airports. Sure, it gets the job done but if you want something better you'll probably pay more and it will be way more of a headache.
Considering we have our own airport in Rockford, which do you think is best? O'Hare, Midway or Rockford? Tell us!
