Shake up your normal camping routine by visiting one of these budget-friendly campsites this summer.

I love camping, as long as there are no bugs, I don't have to sleep on the ground and it's not raining.

I know, I'm a glam-per. I enjoy the finer things in camping such as a blow up mattress, bug spray, running water and public bathrooms.

But, I've had my fair share of roughing it in the great outdoors.

Camping can get expensive! Not only must you have all the necessary supplies, food and shelter, but you also have to rent the campsite.

You can camp on a budget if you camp at one of these  campsites for $15 or less in Northern Illinois according to FreeCampsites.net. Some are quite unconventional, others perfect for family camping vacations.

This lot has 1-5 campsites at this location. Maximum RV length is limited, but no tents allowed. Perfect for an emergency overnight RV stay. Hey, it's FREE!

So it's an unofficial campsite, but it's FREE and users of freecampsites.net have parked their RV for a few days with no problems and access to bathrooms 24/7.

This State Park has 30 campsites and the maximum RV length is unlimited. You can stay for up to 14 days! Plus, there are picnic tables, restrooms, bike trails, horse trails, drinking water, electricity and more! For a primitive site, cost is only $12 a night.

For $3 a night in a tent, you can camp all year round! Plus there is a dump station and drinking water available. If you are camping in an RV, the price is only $5-$6 an RV.

When camping in either an RV or a tent the price will be just about $10-$14 a night. The campsites are on soft flat grass about eight miles from the lush river valley of the Mississippi. Showers, restrooms, fishing and boating are just some of the amenities at Blanding Landing.

This free campsite is open year round. It has fishing, boating, drinking water, restrooms and more great amenities.

See! Camping doesn't have to break the bank. So get out and enjoy the summer with the family!
