Frank Zappa. Grace Slick. David Crosby. Eric Clapton. These are the names of some of the biggest rock stars of the 1970s. They were also some of the biggest anti-establishment, 'fight the power'-types of the day too. Nothing Zappa did was conforming, Grace wanted to spike the drinks at a White House party with LSD when she visited, and Crosby was a crack smoking, gun-toting hippie. However, they still had moms and dads to impress. The U.K. newspaper The Daily Mail put together a great photo collection of some of the decade's biggest pop/rock musicians with their parents, in their parent's homes. You get a glimpse of where Zappa picked up his eclectic style, the father Crosby rebelled against, the Jackson 5 at home, and Clapton with his grandmother in the house he bought her.

Somehow this picture of me with my parents in 1972 didn't make the cut.
