14-Year-Old Illinois Boy Steals Car Because ‘It’s Cold Out’

So imagine this, you're car is stolen by a 14-year-old boy. What the...Well that would suck. But after the car is recovered, you learn that the reason the kid stole your car was because he "was cold."

This kid was eventually sent to the River Valley Juvenile Detention Center in Joliet, for his wrong doing...Here's the story.

This 14-year-old and his buddy were out tooling around and they find a car in a parking lot, with the keys inside...The owner was inside the business talking to his insurance agent. When the owner was done he went outside and his car was gone.

What does a "kid" that steals a car do, when he drives away? Crashes into stuff...duh. The 14-year-old strikes a car leaving the lot, and continued to drive around for FIVE HOURS! That's a heck of a joy ride in a stolen car. When the kids got bored, they ditched the key and the car at a park.

The young men were soon stopped while walking, and questioned...Busted. Eventually after being questioned for a while, the kids told the truth and admitted to stealing the car.

Rule number one, don't leave your keys in your car. Rule number two, just don't steal a car, eventually kids...You are going to get busted. Fact.
