12 Ways to Have an Illinois Day

Have an Illinois Day! I've never heard anyone say that, but lets change that.

Having an Illinois Day, not just going into Chicago. What are the things you could do?

According to Only in Your State here are 12 ways to have an Illinois Day:

• Begin Your day by watching a Stellar Illinois Sunrise
• Take a drive on a scenic road
• Hike up, down, and around the canyons and waterfalls at Starved Rock State Park
• After all that hiking and traveling, treat yourself with a giant Chicago-style pizza
• Have a total Ferris Bueller moment and look at some gorgeous art
• Catch a baseball game at the legendary Wrigley Field
• Eat a delicious Chicago-style hot dog–with no ketchup
• Get out on Lake Michigan and enjoy it…whether you are in your own watercraft or a cruise
• All of that exercise means that you will want to eat some delicious Garrett’s popcorn
• Time to drive as the sun is setting over Illinois
• Explore Navy Pier and ride the rides late at night
• A fireworks show over Navy Pier would be the perfect end of a perfect Illinois day

• The Illinois Sunrise from my neighborhood is super
• Drivers, bad drivers
• Starved Rock IS great
• I prefer the thin crust, NYC Style
• The Nevica Project, enough said
• Duh
• I use Ketchup on my dog
• I have a Top Secret Lake Michigan spot
• Garrett's is pretty great
• Again, from my front step
• Never done Navy Pier at night
• Wednesday or Saturday Must go!
