An event coming up at a popular children's attraction in Illinois is taking a new twist by making it an adults-only night.

I remember when I was growing up my parents took me to some fun places for entertainment. Unfortunately, there weren't a lot of attractions like that back in the day. Nowadays, there are many places to take your kids for a good time.

My wife and I had a lot of fun taking our daughter to children's attractions in Illinois when she was little. Some were so cool that we were jealous that we didn't have places like that when we were kids. The two of us would joke about what if they hosted a night for just the adults. That would be a great idea.

Our dream came true. It's funny because some children's attractions in Illinois are now hosting adults-only nights for fundraisers. Of course, they're popular. We were very excited that the Chicago Children's Museum at Navy Pier announced one coming up. That's a really fun place.

The event is being held on May 4th from 7 pm to 11 pm. You have to be 21 or older to attend. Besides being able to enjoy the museum, they will be serving adult beverages and appetizers. The theme is Camp Hide N Seek. I'm sure it will be a little strange without the kids around but I think the parents will figure out how to have fun. Especially after a couple of cocktails.
