The alcohol beverage Zima will be making it's return to Rockford this summer.

Yes, it's true. According to chewboom.com,

"Zima, the popular 1990s-era clear malt citrus beverage discontinued in the U.S. in 2008 is making a comeback this summer."

What is Zima? This video will help explain.

"Zima is currently on the shelves at over 3,000 Walmart locations where beer is sold."

It's time to stop by a Rockford Walmart location and pick up some Zima.

Think about how cool that would be to show up to a party this summer with some Zima. It would be great for a boat ride on the Rock River or to watch the 4th of July Fireworks. Maybe even for some tailgating. You would be the party hero.

My first experience with Zima.

I remember a friend and I went up to Platteville, Wisconsin for Chicago Bear's training camp.

It's a college town, so we decided to stay the night and go bar hopping. We were there on a Monday night, so it was kind of dead.

We went into one bar and the only two people in there were former Bears Keith Van Horne and Tom Thayer. We figured if they were hanging out, it had to be a good place.

I saw a Zima sign on the wall. I asked the bartender about it. He said I had to try it, so he gave me one on him. My drinking was never the same again.

Did you enjoy Zima?
