If you're a fan of Subway's $5 foot long sandwiches, I hate to tell you this but you won't be seeing it on their menu after this month.

ABC7 shares that effective this month of September, the company will no longer be offering the $5 deal for the 12-inch sandwich.

CEO Trevor Haynes said that if the deal is to continue it will be left "for each individual franchise owner can choose whether or not to offer the option." However, as a company, this menu will no longer be offered.

Their hope for the chain is for the "franchise owners to experiment with their own value deals based on business costs."

Rats! Really?

That was always a good deal for me. Especially, on those weeks when I was low on cash. I'd hit up Subway and basically got two meals for the price of one.
