The World Of Faeries Festival Is Where Dreams Come True In Illinois

I know we're all looking for fun events to attend this Summer.  Well, all your fairytale dreams are about to come true at this Faeries Festival in South Elgin, Illinois.

Think of The World of Faeries Festival like a cosplay convention, but fairy themed!  This year marks the 18th year this event has taken place.  From what I read, this event will definitely be fun for the entire family!  Once you step foot into this whimsical world of unique creatures, you'll be sucked into a culture you've never seen before.

This year's theme? Unicorn Dreams.

THE WORLD OF FAERIES FESTIVAL

There will be so many magical vendors to shop at around the festival on Saturday, August 6th from 10am - 6pm and Sunday, August 7th from 10am - 5pm.

You're 100% encouraged to dress up if you plan on attending the festival, too - come as a fairy, a fantasy character, or wear a renaissance costume!

You'll even have the opportunity to see performers, beautiful creatures, and handmade costumes from head to toe.  Look at this beautiful bird that attended the festival a previous year!

Speaking of performers, there will be music by many artists around the festival.

The Harp Twins, Frenchy and the Punk, Greg Herriges, Nazario Chickpeazio, and Todd Menton will all be in attendance.

There will be something for everybody!  You can shop the booths for your favorite faery figurines, beautiful jewelry, artwork, clothing, garden decorations and much, much more.

I'm a sucker for jewelry, so I'd probably spend all my time shopping at the booths.

There will be sooooo much entertainment and family fun activities you'll be excited to join in on.  Arts and crafts, Fairy Tea Time, Educational demonstrations, Mermaid Meet and Greets, bubble stations, and so much more will be waiting for you at the Faeries Festival!  Find the full schedule here!
