Wisconsin’s Biggest Air Show Returns in 2022 and Will Be Spectacular
Another sign of normalcy, one of Wisconsin's most popular events is returning after a two-year hiatus.
The Milwaukee Air & Water Show was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This past summer the event didn't happen for a number of reasons including, you guessed it, the pandemic.
The Milwaukee Air & Water Show returns in 2022.
The 100th anniversary of Milwaukee's air and water show was postponed but come June 2022, eyes will be to the sky and the water as a spectacular show takes place for all ages to enjoy.
The new version of the Blue Angels fighter jets, the F/A-18 E/F "Super Hornet", will make their debut this year with one of their stops being this event in Milwaukee.
"Fat Albert"
The New Blue Angels HC-130, dubbed "Fat Albert", will make also perform at Milwaukee Air and Water Show, too.
Spectators will enjoy the event, penciled for June 23 and 24, 2022, along Lake Michigan's shoreline in Milwaukee.
In previous years Milwaukee Air and Water Show has attracted almost a half million people. With the event being postponed two years in a row, it would be no surprise if the number of spectators is more than ever before.
2018 was a good year for the air and water show either.
In 2018, low cloud cover spoiled an appearance by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron, which was the event headliner, according to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The event is free for all to enjoy.
