Officers with the Appleton Police Department are reminding drivers of a Wisconsin law that requires vehicle tires to be in safe operating condition following a recent traffic stop.

The police in Appleton recently pulled over a driver for something you don't hear about very often. It was for the tires. Apparently, they were completely bald. You might not be an expert when it comes to car equipment, but I believe most people know that it's against the law to drive like that.

I understand trying to fly under the radar to get by until you have enough money to purchase new tires, but driving on bald ones isn't only against the law. It's very dangerous too.
