New policies and opening date have been released for Wisconsin Ski Resort.

I enjoy skiing. It's a hobby that I wish I would have gotten into more and kept doing. I started in middle school. We had a class trip every year. In high school and college, my friends and I would go for a weekend. As I got older, it kind of just fell off. I've only been a couple of times in the past several years. I never went any farther than Wisconsin. I was fine with that. I never really liked the steep fast hills. I much preferred the backtrails.

As we start getting into winter, families are going to be looking for activities. Outdoors seems like the best bet. I think skiing would work with a few small adjustments. Even though, I hate thinking about winter being so close. It never hurts to start planning. One nearby ski resort has already made some major announcements.

According to nbcchicago.com,

"Wilmot Mountain aims to welcome the public back to the Wisconsin, ski resort on Dec. 5 for the winter season. While the reopening date is weather permitting, Wilmot owners say they have been hard at work making operating changes to reopen safely."

They will also implement new policies which include requiring face masks, social distancing, reservations, and health screenings.

Wilmont Mountain will always have a special place in my heart because it's the first place I ever went skiing.

I'm sure many of the other resorts are moving in the same direction.
