At least he's a man of his word.

Before the Cubs' opener on Thursday against the Marlins, Bleacher Nation reported Micheal Cerami said that if Cubs' lead off man hit a home run with his first at bat, then he's jump in Lake Michigan.

And that's exactly what Ian Happ did. The first pitch of the game, which just happened to be the very first pitch of the MLB season, was a home run!

A spur of the moment wager, which I'm sure was instantly regretted, was out there waiting for fate to answer it. And because the whole thing played out on Twitter, Cerami had no chose but to jump into the brisk 41 degree Lake Michigan.

Thankfully for all of us this all played out on Twitter, even a response from Ian Happ himself. See the conversation in it's entirety here: https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/cubs-fan-lake-michigan-ian-happ-home-run-mlb-opening-day-2018/
