Winter Temps Help To Keep Drinks Cold At Ice Bar In Illinois
At the ice bar in Illinois, winter temperatures help to keep your drinks cold.
How Do You Keep Your Drink Cold Once You Start It
I think it has been a mystery for many years. Once you start your drink, how do you keep it cold? Before it is opened, that is easy. Just keep it in a fridge or cooler. The timer is on after you take that first sip.
You can try drinking it fast but you can not really enjoy it that way. Plus, the buzz comes on much quicker. There is the option to add ice but after a while, it will melt and water down your tasty beverage. A restaurant in Chicago has solved that problem. Well, kind of.
Bar Made Of Ice In Illinois
There is a bar in the West Loop area of Chicago called "PB&J: Pizza, Beer, & Jukebox." It is located at 205 North Peoria Street. They have built an ice bar right outside of their building made of 40,000 pounds of ice.
Of course, there is one slight problem. It can only be used in winter. Once it warms up, the ice bar will melt away. So enjoy it now while you can because you never know when Mother Nature will give us a heatwave.
Other Attractions At The Ice Bar
The restaurant also created a few other attractions made of ice for customers to enjoy. There are two ice thrones (an adult one and another for kids), an ice drink luge, and a beer stein made of ice.
The ice bar will be open nightly from 5 pm to 10 pm while it still is standing. If you get too cold, they will be serving hot beverages too. The way the weather has been rolling so far this winter, I think we will have at least a couple more weeks if not more to enjoy it.
