Apparently, Illinois is the place to be if you're looking for somewhere romantic to dine.

On a list of 100 restaurants posted by Food and Wine, over 10% of those can be found in the Land of Lincoln.

You won't have to hop around the entire state to find the most romantic restaurants either.

That's because all 12 of them are in Chicago.

Food and Wine:

Illinois came out on top with the highest number of restaurants on the list (12), as compared to Ohio last year, and California and Pennsylvania followed with eight restaurants each.

I was very surprised to see my choice for the most romantic restaurant in Illinois not on the list. So I'll add it myself.

Bavette's Bar & Boeuf, 218 West Kinzie Street in Chicago.
