I'm a big fan of thrifting. I don't usually buy a lot but I just really enjoy exploring. Especially, if I go with a friend or family. It's a fun way to spend a day. Plus, you never know what you might find. Did you know there are actual benefits of thrifting?

Treasure Hunting:

Thrifting is a great way to find vintage or even one-of-a-kind items. Sometimes people want to get rid of stuff so bad, they don't care if it's worth money. They just want it gone. You could get lucky and pick up something of value for a couple of bucks.

Saving The Environment:

When you buy an item at a thrift store, that is one less thing that will end up in a landfill. Plus, it's something less that needs to be made brand new in a factory.

Charity:

The majority of the time thrift stores are owned and operated by charities. It's a great way for them to generate money for the organization.

Quality:

Let's be honest. Things were made much better back in the day. They lasted much longer. That saves you from having to replace it as often. Finding items in a thrift store, you know they'll be much more durable.

Ideas:

Thrifting is a good way to find projects to work on. You might find some items that require a little TLC. Maybe, even inspire you to make something on your own.

You'll find that when you go out thrifting it's easy to discover like-minded people that are into the same things you are. Other shoppers and employees can really connect with you.
