The Curse Breaker, named by the originator of the Cubs curse, ironically broke  a record of their own over the weekend. They won the judges top pick as the best burger.

The Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago, yes the very same responsible for casting the Cubs curse, entered their Curse Breaker Burger into the Roscoe Village Burger Fest and went away with a trophy. DNAInfo Chicago reports that the burger earned and now claims the honor of Critics Choice. What's so remarkable about this winning is that this was the fist time the restaurant had ever entered the contest and they won the top honor on their first try. Wow! Now that's pretty cool.

Would you say that the force of the goat was with them last Saturday? Ha! Sorry that was bad. I know stick to you day job Susan.

By the way, if you're curious of what's in the winning Curse Breaker it has jalapeno peppers, grilled onions and pickles piled atop a grilled burger. Hmmm... I was ok with onions and pickles but I'm not sure about the jalapeno peppers. In all fairness I'd still try it.

The Billy Goat Tavern said they've sold over a thousand Curse Breakers so far. That right there tells me it's got to be pretty good. I mean the judges can't be wrong. Right?

If you're curious about the Curse Breaker you can go try it at the Billy Goat Tavern Original restaurant at 430 N. Michigan Avenue Lower Level Chicago, IL or at any of their other locations. Visit www.billygoattavern.com to find out more.

I'm thinking that maybe the Cubs should eat a few of these burgers and break this bad streak we saw happen over the weekend. Those are some games we'd all like to forget.
