Every year when I was a kid at school, we would get a visit by Officer Friendly. He or she would come in and show us that the police were our friends, hence the name. "Don't be afraid," they'd say. "Ask us anything," they'd say.

You can ask for directions, help or even help getting in your car if you've locked you keys in it. Don't ask them this without expecting some follow-up questions from Officer Friendly.
