I'm a big fan of John Hughes movies, and one of my favorites has to be "The Great Outdoors." In the film, John Candy's character takes on the food challenge of the Old 96'er. It's pretty entertaining to watch.

I don't have the stomach or the mentality for a food challenge like that, but I've watched professionals, and they blow my mind with their eating skills. I remember convincing a friend to eat a one-pound burger at a bar, and that's nothing anymore.

In over twenty years of hosting this ten-pound prime rib challenge, only four customers have completed the full meal. I can easily see why, because that's a whole lot of meat. I would have to go hungry for weeks before even trying.
Could you imagine eating dinner at the Black Otter Supper Club with your family and someone comes in the take on this steak challenge? That would definitely be a sight to see. I'm sure the whole restaurant gets into the event.
