For weeks now my youngest daughter has been 'planning' her next birthday party, (which isn't until May), at 'the place with the dinosaurs'. Of course the place she is referring to is Rockford's Burpee Museum of Natural History. She doesn't appreciate me telling her that she might not be able to have a big birthday party yet in May, but perhaps it will soften the blow when I tell her that soon we'll be able to visit her favorite dinosaurs again.

Burpee Museum of Natural History just announced  they will be reopening to the public on February 12th, but due to COVID regulations, they will be operating at limited capacities and hours.

Beginning Friday, February 12, Burpee will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 10am - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. , and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Sessions are limited to 25 people per time slot and you need to reserve your spot in advance, which you can do now here. Keep in mind, thanks to the pandemic, we've all been bored at home for months, so there's no doubt these time slots will fill up quickly and you need to reserve one ASAP.

FYI, Burpee  has a slew of events scheduled for the upcoming months including Paleo Fest which kicks off in March, and their website is chocked full of activities you can experience from the comfort of your own home right now.

And...one last thing, because it's too good not to share with you...Burpee has pounced on the funny Bernie Sanders pics too. Job very well done Burpee, can't wait to see you again real soon!
