Illinois residents who struggle with asthma could see relief soon in affording their lifesaving tool: an asthma inhaler.

Down in Springfield, Illinois Senate Bill 3854 (SB3854), if passed into law, would ban the sale of all flavored tobacco products, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes and chewing tobacco. For the moment, that bill is still "in committee."

You've undoubtedly heard quite a bit in the news recently about the recently-passed, controversial legislation known as the "Police Reform Bill." And, while the bill has its supporters, law enforcement agencies from across the state are in heavy opposition to it.

If Illinois State Senator Andy Manar gets his wish, people in Illinois would move their clocks ahead one hour this coming spring, then never have to change them again.

The bill, which was amended by the Senate, now goes back to the Illinois House, which indicated in social media posts it would take quick action on it.

Even though we're the highest-taxed citizens in the nation, some lawmakers in Springfield think we should be happy to get on board with this.
