While waiting for the UFC to announce his next fight, Rockton native Corey Anderson still has a reason to celebrate.

He was recently nominated for induction in the New Jersey State Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Being nominated in the 'MMA' category, Anderson is one of 17 nominees for this year.

Last year he won all three of his fights against Patrick Cummins, Glover Teixeira, and  Ilir Latifi to boost his record to 12-4. Then he took a break at the beginning of the year for the birth of his son who was born in March.

Anderson is currently ranked eighth in the light heavyweight in the UFC.
