Rockford Police Department Welcomes a new Furry Friend

The K-9 Unit of the Rockford Police Department continues to grow.

The Rockford Police Department welcomes two new family members to the K-9 Unit. This is Officer Carpenter and Diesel.

The streets of Rockford will meet this awesome team this summer.

Diesel is a two-year-old German Shepherd from Croatia. Officer Carpenter and Diesel will spend the next 10 weeks preparing to protect and serve at the Illinois State Police K-9 Academy in Springfield.
